Engage. Connect. Empower

“Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage” — Anais Nin

I’m so grateful that I was able to witness such a wonderful and diverse group of women come together to share lessons from their mothers. Our incredible panelists ranged from 21 to 73 years old and represented women who came from Muslim, Jewish, Christian and other religious backgrounds. Everyone had such a different and unique life experience, but together they all showed the beauty of nurturing.

The most interesting part of the event was the fact that our audience was both extremely engaged and impressive. Present were women from Make Your Life Happen radio, The Women’s Chamber of Commerce Palm Beach County and Alcolya St. Juste who was running for Circuit Court Judge Group 13. Our sponsor, Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, CEO of a company that employs over 600 health care professionals, shared why she was running as a candidate for U.S. Representatives 20th Congressional District. It was truly amazing watching the women in the audience eagerly ask our panelists questions about advice they wished their mothers passed along such as: money management, career strategies, lessons from failure and the complexities of pursuing greatness.

We are not one dimensional.

Woman on the Move: Mother Should’ve Told Me Mastermind Event, West Palm Beach, Florida (July 2018)

Every woman represented how multi-talented, creative, inspirational, complex and brilliant we as women are. Some of us are healing from childhood neglect and abuse and others are thriving as we’ve allowed other women to help nurture and pour into us so that we can be whole for ourselves. This event helped show that whatever we lack, we have the key in each other. Our panelists were attorneys, pilots, dancers, hosts, creatives, marketing experts and so much more. They made sure to distinguish that they are not defined by what they do.

My mother would’ve been proud. She absolutely loved serving others and helping the community. There are so many reasons why I wanted to have this event in her honor, but the main reason is to help other women who like her didn’t hear and feel the love they desired from their mothers…whether by choice or by circumstance. It was a time of healing and we witnessed quite a few breakthroughs.

Woman on the Move: Mother Should’ve Told

“Fear will kill a dream you never knew you had!”

The local support of Woman on the Move has been amazing! The craziest part is this movement almost never happened. I was buried in responding to hundreds of inboxes and messages through social media and I thought that was enough.

Throughout the past 9 years, women have been very bold with their questions as it relates to the how to make their dreams happen. I’m not mad because I was just like them. In fact, I’ve been relentless with seeking answers from visionaries. I shamelessly messaged winners and asked them their strategy. I had become so proficient with strategic social media networking that I wrote an eBook, started writing an online eCourse while living in France (that I haven’t launched yet) and then started formally working in digital marketing. Friends who saw what I was doing wouldn’t let me sleep on Woman on the Move as a global movement outside of Facebook.

Now over the past two years, I’ve been working through lots of fear and doubt to MOVE out of my own way. I’ve actually started producing live events with women who have helped me build or are invested in building other women up! It’s been nothing but amazing!
