5 Tips to See Her Win!
We want to win and we want those around us to win as well. Today I wanted to share some things that will give you and the bosses around you a great boost. Here are my 5 tips for helping other women win in business:
1 . Connect & Show Up!
One way to ensure the success of your small business and another woman owned business is to connect. Make that call today and let her know that you want to see her win. Set a time to connect. Making an lasting impact is simple; show up.
2. Offer Best Practices
People trust you. When is the last time that you connected with a small business owner and supported her business through either buying products or services, then providing her feedback with best practices? Let her know what you love about her business. Share with her privately some opportunities to make her business greater. Leave a positive review.
3. Spread the Word
Sometimes we only think of support as financial contributions, but the truth is word of mouth still is the best way to help a business. Share on and offline about a business you love. Think of someone who you haven’t heard from in a while and who hasn’t purchased from you and support them. You never know if they’ve hit a bump and need a boost of encouragement.
4. Grab her Cards
Call your business besties and grab their promotional materials. Offer to carry a few extra business cards around of 5 business owners you trust and pass them along. This shows support, builds community and encourages women to show their support on a daily business. Oftentimes we think about supporting a business while out at an event, but how encouraging would it be to just share a referral as your doing your day to day errands to others you meet? Surprise them by recommending a woman.
5. Follow-Up
You are a valuable resource to those around you. Don’t count yourself out by not following up with someone who you want to see win. Call them and set up a time to re-connect to evaluate goals, hurdles and success stories.
