Jasira Monique the Founder of Woman on the Move has consistently encouraged women to pursue their dreams. No matter what their heart desired whether it’s world travel, exploration, entrepreneurship, modeling, pageantry or cultivating a family she pushed women in an unapologetic fashion through her embracing and promoting the phrase ‘Woman on the Move’ since 2009. In 2009, she wrote a poem ‘Woman on the Move’ and she’s been dedicated to promoting the notion of women never giving up when pursuing greatness.

Jasira Monique’s book of poetry, Woman on the Move was published in December 2012 with rave reviews along with her eponymous micro-stage play. Jasira Monique’s work, highlights the success and plight of women at all costs.

Over the past several years, Jasira has been dedicated to empowering women through sharing information. When we share we ignite something in others. As a person who believes in leading by example, Monique used her advance knowledge of various social media platforms to network with other travel experts to learn strategies to relocate her and her two children abroad for six months in the UK, France, and Spain to expose them to life as a global citizen. This would not have happened if other women didn’t share their strategies first with Jasira through social media.

In 2016, shortly after returning to the U.S., Jasira Monique developed Woman on the Move, a global collective for women to collaborate, engage and share information to help them achieve their dreams. Since it’s adaptation to a collective of global women, Woman on the Move has featured trailblazers in virtual and live events such as Koereyelle DuBose, Amirah Cook, Attorney Andrea H. Evans, ESQ, Rachel Travels, Sandra Justice, Ann Marie Sorrell and Guinness Book of World Records private pilot Ruth Jacobs.
