This includes a combination of measuring employee engagement, team training sessions, individual coaching sessions and strategic consulting. She also provides services in individual coaching for individuals to leverage their strengths towards their goals or challenges. Aside from training workshops for companies and families to celebrate strengths, she also speaks at conferences and events.

She believes that her unique style of empowering women comes from giving time, a listening ear and connection to others along with encouragement. We asked her a few questions about her journey, mindset and lifestyle as an entrepreneur.

1. What are the most impactful life lessons that you’ve learned to date, in relation to the woman you’ve become?

  • I never want to complain about something unless I am committed to being part of the solution.
  • There aren’t two sides to every story, there are 50+.
  • I’ve learned everyone has imposter syndrome, everyone. You’ve just got to put yourself out there and choose confidence over waiting for the feeling to come. When you choose it, the feeling comes.
  • In all things, to God be the Glory! He is the giver of all.
  • If you don’t listen to your body when it whispers, it will scream at you.

2. How important has mentorship been to your success?

It is the real, raw connection of other humans that keeps us going. It is the gift from God that is the wind to our wings. Mentors help us see what we can not see in ourselves.

3. What are 5 things that have helped you have success in business that every entrepreneur must do to grow?

  • Put yourself out there!
  • Connect to community resources
  • Connect to other entrepreneurs
  • Sell
  • Stability to have the freedom to continue

4. What is one thing that you would have done differently at the beginning or height of your career/journey?

I would have left bad companies and bad bosses sooner, but I had to learn what I needed to. So the timing happened how it should have. Although, I wish I would have stood up for myself more.

5. When in your career have you found it most necessary to collaborate?

Starting…now that I am busier, I have to put my head down and get the work done for clients. I am sure it will go up and down like any cycle.

6. What tools or people were necessary for you to build or scale your business?

Technology, referrals.

7. What are some daily, weekly or monthly practices that help you protect your mental health?

Jazzercise! Family! Good sleep! Jesus time to remember what matters in life. Time to dream, imagine, create. When life is hard, my counselor and pastor are so helpful.

8. What books have helped you grow personally or professionally?

Leaning Back to Move Forward https://womanonthemoveenterprises.com/leaning-back-to-move-forward/ Wed, 19 Jun 2019 08:13:34 +0000 https://womanonthemoveenterprises.com/?p=5353 For years, celebrities have raved about the practice of meditation and the profound effect that the practice has had on their lives. We watch the ease and flow that people who seem to have “figured out” their lives, businesses or careers and think, what do they know that I don’t? Why does it look so easy for them? Part of that reason may be because, through the silent practices of prayer, meditation and daily reflection, our awareness is often expanded beyond what we’re capable of without those moments of pause.

What’s funny is, in most cases, the people who embed these principles most seamlessly and successfully may not even be aware that they are doing them! Our favorite celebrities and businesswomen say things like, “I got clear on what I wanted, and it happened.” Or, “I just believed, and everything worked out.”

In an editor’s column for her widely popular magazine, O, Oprah Winfrey reflected on the transformation she’s had in making time for stillness and awareness in her own life. She wrote a few years back, “The voice in your head is so constant: I need to do ________. I am _______.  It’s easy to mistake that voice for you until you’ve been ‘still’ enough to know otherwise.”As women, we tend to vastly underestimate our inherent ability to create through the power of our bodies, intention and thoughts alone.

This embodying of femininity (relaxing, leaning back, observing and accepting), along with daily reflection and quiet, can create massive shifts in our lives and businesses that are always waiting to occur, but perhaps don’t have the opportunity to come to fruition within our current state of consciousness.

Another way to say that is: “what we want cannot come to us, if we’re feeding our present mindset.”

No matter what religious or spiritual beliefs and practices you embrace, there’s a single truth that we HAVE to accept: There is always a greater power, waiting and wanting to assist you.

The question is, will you allow it?
